Bottle in the Sea ! Episode 6 ! (plus 5 English version)

Happy New Year, everyone :D
(who's late ?)

English, quick Episode 5 informations :

The Solidays experience was great. AWESOME.
(it's a 3-days music fest in a racecourse, with all sorts of musicians, bands, and all playing to help Solidarité Sida fight aids...)
you had giants circus-like tents and stages everywhere, food tents, hospital-like tents, sponsors-tents... one of them was from the Region, the goal was to encourage people to consume milk-derived product, and S.G. was there, flairing ! in the sun, before amazed people...
i was in the Press Team, the people were incredibly cool, funny, yet super professionnal, quite only volunteers, students mostly.
i discovered bands i had never heard of before, seen some on stage, enjoyed the music a lot :D
i'm definitely doing it again next year :)

Studies :
i'm re-doing my third year, and i work three days a week in a music store, which is the coolest possible job, after selling records or books, probably.
if i pass this year, i'll begin a master to teach French and English to kids, and hopefully go to Australia in a few years, to teach French, English, and music.

Job :
i was fired from my summer job, for no reason. well, there must have been an excellent reason, but the guy just plainly refused to tell me. anyway. i know i didnt kill or hurt badly anyone, customers or colleagues. i didnt steal anything, i didnt consciously do anything wrong. i guess i didnt make enough profit.

i'm a million times happier now, thanks to this marvelous music shop.
it's a nice story : i was accompanying my brother there, to have his guitar fixed, and we saw they were looking for a cashier... so i applied, but they didnt want me because i was no good at calculations. but they gave me an appointment at the piano department, they were looking for a salesperson in pianos/keyboards and such.

and then i got the job. it's been a few months now, and i quite love it.
cool, awesome people. nice spot...

Flair :
i went to see every comp i could go to, not that many in the end :p
last November i went to London to see the World Flair Finals, which was a great week-end square, because not only did i get to see live the best flair bartenders on this planet, including semi-gods in the making, but also i could see some Notts mates again, whom i've been missing a lot.
i was quite shocked there's no signal in the London Metro, though, haha

i won a rock-paper-scissors duel against another person from the public, we were picked to come up on stage, i won some cool stuff !! mainly previous comps dvds, thanks a lot, Roadhouse :D

Episode 6 !

what have i been up to since November ?
...

every day i do things to improve my english. read books, newspapers, watch movies, listen to podcasts...
those days i'm listenning to Kevin Smith's Smodcast stuff a lot. but it's too much of fun and not enough work
so i'll switch to some BBC extracts soon...

i've started revising Russian and Mandarin Chinese,
it's scary how quick you can forget everything.

my brother cut my hair. i've lost my feminine aspect a bit. but it should be fine again in 2-3 years.

i was stolen my cellphone, but have another one now, same number.

went to Brussels with a friend, Ninie, that was magic. we were staying at a friends who gave us a tour, under the snow, a bit before Christmas... wonderful. but so short ;____;

saw my family for Christmas, made me feel good. it had been some time.

celebrated New Year at home, with friends, whom i hadnt seen in ages. played music, poked, danced, ate a LOT. good times.

finally started reading again, following the chronological order of who-gave-me-the-book-first etc.
first book, finished. Danke Wiebke, you're a pearl.

went to the movies quite a lot, the first times were hard because i cannot stay seated, but now it's ok.
some movies i adored : Prick Up Your Ears, Je Ne Peux Pas Vivre Sans Toi, Les Mystères de Lisbonne, En Présence D'Un Clown...

went to some bars quite a lot, too, mainly the Mojito Lab and Inside Bar, because the people here are Cocktail Superheroes, and i love them. i love the people, i love their drinks. i like their stories, too. i'll definitely have to take you guys there, you'd simply love the place.

Fan Art :
that's one of the biggest thing i've ever initiated.
after the Festiblog in September, sort of a convention with comic artists signing for everyone,
where Ninie, friends, and I met some bloggers we like,
we decided to do an Eliascarpe fan art. you can see his work here, and if you havent seen the pics on fb, pay attention to the characters on the presentation page...
we called friends, and little by little built the whole thing.
we wrote a script, made the accessories, filmed the process, gave up a few scenes because we had no time to shoot everything, set up a make up + photo shoot, which we ended up doing in a friend's garage whom we borrowed the photo studio from, sent the pics to Mic who photoshopped them later, edited the videos, picked some music...
and sent it to Eliascarpe. he published it :D !
when we saw he really made out a whole article on this, we felt amazingly good, thrilled, and relieved, because we had managed to finish this, after months of hard labour, chaotic meetings, hours and hours of work...

Ninie, Elu and I made the accessories,
Cha was in charge of the make-up part (A-MA-ZING) and took the picture, me (ex)posing,
Mysterious Friend lended us the photo studio and the venue,
Mic photoshopped hard,
and we have friends as guests on the video :)

(if you have ten minutes, please watch it :D !)

and after that... well, not much.
just the usual stuff.

i'm late but i'll send some cards soon, be ready ! :)

love
