news from the moon :)

M.O.O.N., episode 3, GO !

so, what happened since last time ?
first, the very annoying thing : i gave up, i'm not going to China next year.
because the lady who takes care of that just messed up every date, actually the file should have been filled and sent in OCTOBER 2009, not April 2010.
so we had to do everything all over again... then i realised my parents wont support me forever, meaning i have to pay everything myself, and being jobless at the moment, it's just IMPOSSIBLE.
so i'm not going to China next year,
next year, i'm working, saving some money, and passing my driving licence.
so i'm not studying either...
after this gap year, i'll go back to Uni, to study French As A Foreign Language (they'll teach me to be a nice French teacher.)
and in the meantime, pass my piano teaching degree. hopefully :)

that was the boring stuff.

so W arrived, like a sacred gift from the sky
but before that, what happened ?

something like a week before my birthday, my brother P gave me something for me he took in the mailbox.
something from Australia.
with Gordon's writing.
HAHAHA!!
i opened it, and to my utter amazement, i found a card and...

...

an inflatable kangaroo.

he likes to exercise a lot.

and he likes adult programmes.

we inventively nicknamed him "Gordon" and took pictures of him a bit everywhere we could.
like in Amelie, have you seen the movie ?

that adorable kangaroo was an Ambassador, we took good care of him :D

back to the story :)

i woke up very early on my birthday, and when i got out of the shower, to my room, i saw flames in the kitchen.
i was a bit scared because there was no reason anything could have started burning like this for no reason at 6am...
actually, it was my brothers, P & E.
they had bought me a Ben & Jerrys icecream, and put all the candles in the pot... shaping a certain number... ^^
that was the best birthday breakfast ever :D
then i met Wiebke at the airport, i was soooo glad to see her !! it was like embracing the whole Magnolia's legend again ! i was very moved.
we took the bus, she gave me a present (sweet, sweet Wiebke) and we went back home.
i cannot describe in detail everyone's arrival, but grossly speaking, Lien, Aline and Seraphine arrived a few days later from the Holy Land of Speculoos and Beer, later followed by Marie the Magnifiscent... they met some of my French friends who were there,
i'm glad they could meet, chat a bit, spend some time together...

we had an awesome time in Paris.
we visited places, we took very random pictures (see on facebook, and join our awesome Magnolia Group (on hotmail) ! ), i really enjoyed myself !
we went to a nightclub where a the bartender is a Flair Bartender haha, he was just amazing !
and i forced everyone to stay in late so that we could take the first metro (the night buses are just a nightmare for me) haha, which was interesting, in a way.

i'd like to thank every person who was there, or wrote, called, texted, or just thought about us on those days.
sincerely, i miss you guys.
i cant wait to see you again.
i told Allison i'd come to Malaysia in 2012, and up till now, i'm still planning on going.
maybe we could organize this a bit !

the "Alexandre III" bridge

small "tale" : when i was a little girl, my dad used to drive near this bridge when he took us to Paris, and i though those golden horses were the gardians of heaven. i found this bridge so beautiful i could not but believe it was a gate to heaven. anyway.

of course we went to that place,
Le Sacré Coeur, in Montmartre...
we had a picnic there, and we raised our speculoos to the Magnolia People who couldnt have come... we even tried to call Thomas, but the man would not answer T.T ...

Notre-Dame... that place has been awesome for centuries, but now it is even more magic, thanks to the artists who perform there... one day when you come back you'll see them again ! :D

naturally, we also went to the Louvres, to the Eiffel Tower...
and i told the girls that i'd meet a friend there, Jim, he works in the restaurant upstairs,
i told them we would wait in front of the tower, and he'd show off at some moment,
like wave a flag or something...
so, at precisely 9pm, the tower suddenly was illuminated with hundreds of blinking bulbs, maybe you already saw it ?
only after did i tell this happens every hour when it's dark.
that wasnt the most brilliant joke, i have to acknowledge it, but i wanted to give it a try...

one last anecdote :
a French friend of mine, Vianney,
gave me a sheaf of recycled paper :D which was of course, very original, very useful, and very green ;D
and one week later, he texted me that was a joke, this was not just a pile of sheets,
so i went back, opened it, and...
he had printed for me a book i love, which only exists online,
it's called "10 Petits Nerds", it has been written by an extraordinary person... (see link on the right margin...)
so,
Vianney, the hero, had printed 300-400 pages, in color, and had placed them back in their box...
i have the most wonderful friends in the world.

arg, i gotta go now...
in a nutshell : i had an extraordinary birthday, thanks to you guys, and i'd like to say thank you...
i hope i'll have some news from you very soon, and i cant wait to see you again...

this article was ridiculously short and it didnt sum up even a tenth of the fun i had during those days with you. you've made my birthday a unique moment, when i look back at the pictures i feel like crying with joy, i really miss you all, i'm truely happy i met you :D
